June 6, 2008 May Labor Report Released
The bureau of labor statistics released the May Employment Situation summary
today and reported that about 7.7 million persons held more than one job in May.
The new trend causes some to speculate that Americans may be actually
underemployed within the market.
While some job reductions may be seasonal,
non-farm payroll employment continues to trend down in construction,
manufacturing, retail trade, and temporary help services. While this new report
may seem discouraging, we applaud those who make innovative career moves during
this difficult market.
You may fall within one of the industries that have seen
job losses continuously throughout the year; while we don’t necessarily suggest
a change of career, we want you to know that we are here for you if you desire a
new direction.
We can help you organize your thoughts in regards to the
competitive market and help you become the most appealing candidate. Please
